It's with great excitement that the NCHA announce the major sponsors of the 2012 NCHA Futurity as Bayer Imax Gold and Tamarang.

Following a recent NCHA Board Meeting, the NCHA are able to announce the prize purses for the Amateur events taking place during the Futurity. Each Amateur event will have a purse of $5,000 and will see the top 15 progress into a Final. The top 8 place-getters will be awarded a distribution of the $5,000 purse and all Finalists will receive awards. Each Champion will also be awarded a Trophy Saddle and a Gist Buckle, and Reserve Champions will also receive a Gist Trophy Buckle. The prize purse will be distributed as per sliding scale for Aged Events, outlined on page 46 of the NCHA Rule Book. The NSW Department of Primary Industries is assisting the Queensland Centre for Emerging Infectious Diseases and Biosecurity Queensland in conducting a survey of Australian horse owners to determine knowledge, attiude, opinions and practices in relation to the Hendra virus.

The NCHA is delighted to announce that for the first time in March, Gist Buckles will be presented to winners of the National Finals in Tamworth.
The NCHA has 53 affiliates that conduct shows, practice days and clinics throughout Australia. All levels of competition are catered for with over 200 shows throughout Australia culminating with the NCHA National FInals. High Point Awards are highly prized and competitors travel many kilometres to achieve success.
The showcase of Cutting is the NCHA Futurity held every May/June in Tamworth, NSW. The Futurity has grown into the richest three year old performance horse event in Australia. It incorporates the best cutting seen anywhere, the largest country/western rural trade display outside the metropolitan areas, restaurants,bars, big screen, live country country music entertainers, and the NCHA Sale which auctions some of the best bred performance horses in Australia.
The NCHA has 53 affiliates that conduct shows, practice days and clinics throughout Australia. All levels of competition including youth classes are catered for with over 200 shows taking place throughout Australia including Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney Royals culminating with the NCHA National Finals.
