Thank you to our wonderful sponsors. Your contribution certainly strengthens the sport of cutting and the industry growth.
The National Cutting Horse Association’s Futurity attracts interest from the Australian and international equine fraternity. National and overseas marketing along with the diverse range of spectators from all over Australia, New Zealand, the South Pacific and the USA allow sponsors to maximise coverage in a focused environment.
Between 2,500 and 3,000 people each day attended the 9 day event. Add to this the fact that more Australians are taking holidays at home and visiting regional and rural natural and man-made attractions, this event provides an effective and affordable opportunity for corporate sponsors to raise awareness of their products and service while enhancing corporate image in their respective marketplace.
The new Australian Equine and Livestock Centre (AELC) will provide unlimited sponsorship opportunities with corporate entertaining areas and the latest in video screens and communications equipment.
Seating for up to 5,000 will allow the Futurity event to enhance its program and increase the number of spectators. Five hundred stables, indoor and outdoor arenas and industry offices will give the NCHA unlimited growth opportunities into overseas entertainers, expansion of the Trade Show and of course more entries in our Futurities. Additional events such as campdrafting can be including into the Futurity attracting another 5000 potential competitors and owners.
As one of the four equine groups to invest into the AELC the NCHA and its sponsors will have a presence at the centre at every event staged on the grounds. This will include non equine and livestock events and Country Music festivals. Tamworth is rapidly becoming a major centre for events and has the infrastructure to accommodate many thousands of visitors with over 4000 beds in the town.
Some of the projected events that can be held in the new centre include Thoroughbred yearling sales such as the Magic Millions, the southern equivalent of the Rockhampton Beef Week and Equitana, the largest equine expo in the Southern Hemisphere. The AELC will be the only facility in Australia capable of housing hundreds of horses or cattle with a daily serviced airport and railway close to the centre.
The development of NCHA Sales P/L to include the purchase and sales of cattle into feedlots will add to the successful horse sales enterprise added to the establishment of a members’ Super Fund and financial service has great merit and unlimited potential.
The sport of cutting attracts people from all walks of life and income levels. Members range from Australian of the Year and Australian Legends to small business owners. It costs an average of $15,000 to get a horse into the NCHA Futurity and over the past 5 years the event has grown 50%. The next leap will see membership expanding into new areas with the NCHA and sponsors’ branding moving into accommodation, entertainment, meat and livestock sales.
With 153 NCHA affiliated shows held all over Australia and 1,200 proactive members.
